CITY OF STERLING CITY COUNCIL MEETING
REGULAR MEETING Monday, July 10, 2017 7:00 PM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sterling City Council will hold a Regular Meeting on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sterling County Appraisal District Office, 616 4th Street, Sterling City, Texas, as prescribed by Government Code Chapter 551, Vernon's Texas Code and Annotated, to consider the following agenda items. Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown in the meeting notice.

ALL PERSONS SPEAKING IN THIS MEETING WILL BE ALLOWED TO SPEAK FOR 5 MINUTES, UNLESS DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE COUNCIL TO SPEAK LONGER.

CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 p.m.

ROLL CALL: Mayor Horwood, Mayor Pro-Tem/Councilmember Guetersloh, Councilmembers Stevens, Dickison, Havlak, Rodriguez and Davis.

INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Council Member George Rodriguez to deliver the Invocation and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND FINANCIAL REPORTS

OLD BUSINESS:

Discuss and/or act upon trading City land by the wastewater plant with Stan Horwood.

Discuss and/or accept Andi Davis's resignation from the SCAD board and appoint a Council member to that seat.

NEW BUSINESS:

Discuss and/or approve upon an interlocal agreement with Sterling County for the City to provide management for the park.

Discuss and/or approve paying for a lawnmower from reserves.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:
City Council to recess to conduct a closed session relative to:

PERSONNEL MATTERS; CLOSED MEETING. In accordance with Texas Government Code, 551.074; (a) This chapter does not require a governmental body to conduct an open meeting: (1) to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or (2) to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee. (b) Subsection (a) does not apply if the officer or employee who is the subject of the deliberation or hearing requests a public hearing.

City Council to reconvene in open session and take any necessary action relative to items discussed in Executive Session.

CITIZEN COMMENTS:
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Council is prohibited from acting or discussing (other than factual responses to specific questions) any items not on the agenda.
